I’m okay with it because it’s going to prompt some people to ask “wait, what’s Project 2025” and look it up, as opposed to “oh, it’s political ad season again, when each side accuses the other of eating babies”

Oh, yeah; I wasn't so much referring to this specific incident as the fact that it seems to happen pretty often, in a way that the GOP isn't as prone to. What's interesting is that the GOP has gotten more of it recently, with the MAGA and more traditional GOP wings fighting it out

Biden IS a centrist, but he's also been to the left of the center on a number of big issues, especially labor; so I get your point and you're not wrong, but Biden in particular is complicated because he's such a weird grab bag of positions on some things. (like, his ghastly I/P position...)

The party has a very, very, big tent, which means anyone who actually wins the nomination is going to be unpalatable to some percentage of them Like, we seem to be more prone to internecine bloodletting too, but part of it is that a coalition this broad will never have real consensus on most things

They move right in response to poll numbers and op-eds, an actual electoral defeat would render the party unrecognizable (and impossible to differentiate from the GOP in a bunch of ways)

We all pile on B+W for what happened after they got away from GRRM's source material and rightly so, but GRRM can't seem to stick the landing either! He's great at defying tropes and expectations, but eventually you gotta tack back to end the story (or be like "walkers win, everyone dies, the end")

I know he won't, because that isn't who he is, but some of these pantswetters need a real lesson in when to stfu and focus on the real threat. Maybe Harris can step up Like, the time for replacing him was months ago. We didn't, so this is what we've got, put on the big kid pants and get to work
