Why wouldn’t I just send the marshals in to disrupt the court? Like, I’m a king—and you’re not being imaginative. I imagine while I make these hotdogs I can come up with more ways. And who expects and has lawyers on call for when the national guard shows up with guns?

no, you order those records destroyed too, and you use the national guard or the us marshals. people are simply not imaginative. threaten to take the shareholder's money if they put up a fight. and you just have to make it hard and unpopular for the next president to feel the pain.

that's all fair too. i just cringe a little when i see people wanting something they love to go forever, cause... it doesn't work that way. eventually we would've been playing with the alf pog of discovery crew members. we owe desilu productions so much though. i'm glad lucy was a fan.

no. it absolutely can do as much as any policy can do. yes, we are entering into a period of uncertainty around law and the enforcement of the law, but the law requires people to do things with stuff. making it harder and more unpopular for people to do thing with stuff matters and is possible.

this is a wildly unimaginative solution, and reinstituting the debt would be unpopular--as well as pragmatically difficult if biden were to dismantle the apparatus: pull out from the collections contracts, and order all records destroyed, and all records in contractors' db's destroyed.

this is the entrance to a public elementary school built over 100 years ago - no one is spending money on this kind of quality work anymore, especially not on public infrastructure (where this kind of thing is more important than people might think)
