The main reason Van Halen did this was ingenious. It wasn't to be Asshole Famous™️ It was because if someone had taken the time and care to read their rider request list and follow their weird tiny M&M ask, it would mean the on stage electrics+ pyrotechnics would be safe (ie attention to detail)

Checking in with some high-follower accounts I’m mutuals with over keeps me going back, but less and less, and I’m trying to make more of an effort to be present over here. I think the Threads/Blue Sky split has hurt the post-Twitter engagement in a noticeable way - I know I can only commit to one.

Hi, in addition to being ridiculous, this isn't an ancient Christian therapy method. Tim LaHaye invented it in a book called The Spirit-Controlled Temperament in 1966. LaHaye also coauthored the Left Behind series & wrote a bunch of terrible sex ed books & homophobic screeds.
