Good reporting on an entirely predictable problem. Fun fact: Airbnb also covers up thousands of sexual assaults every year! Its internal safety team has "cool-down rooms" to take a break from the trauma of what they hear. It's a bad company, a bad industry, and people should just stay in hotels.

It’s especially interesting given that much of the English public are really just staggeringly entitled, and whose anger towards the England’s men’s national team is mostly down to them not thinking highly of other countries (which it turn gives them the impression that every game should be 3-0).

I guess more evidence is helpful but it's not a secret that the mission of the Likud coalition is to establish permanent control of the West Bank and drive the Palestinians out. Hence building/protecting the illegal settlements, endorsing settler attacks, and drawing up maps of Judaea & Samaria.

In four or five or maybe even ten or so years we'll find out why, in spite of Biden publicly saying that Israel wouldn't receive any more offensive weapons if it invaded Rafah, the US continued to provide weapons to Israel after it invaded Rafah. Only 65,000 people remain in the city out of 1.4m.

I suspect this compulsion to reduce the issue down to Muslims is part of this perception of the conflict as religious but it is not that religious at all. Palestinian nationalism is a largely secular project historically and, notably, so was Zionism up until recently.

People in the political press and on here/Twitter still don't really get that Palestine is not a "Muslim American" electoral issue but an Arab American issue. The most influential and wealthy Arabs in the Western diaspore are Christians who care just as much about Palestine as their Muslim sisters.
