My spouse co-organizes the annual Sick and Disabled Fair, a free virtual event by and for disabled artists, crafters, and zinesters. Costs to run the event are higher than expected this year, and organizers need help to make the SAD Fair as accessible and successful as possible.

NLG has been asking that we not call the police stations en masse when protesters are arrested. It interferes with their ability to work, inflames police (which can further extend the situation) and prevents everyday people from being able to check the status of their loved ones.

There's a shift in the current protests, both online and offline. People are laser-focused. The usual distractions and tactics don't seem to be working anymore. They're aiming directly at the systems and institutions. People are angry, tired and motivated

They aren't trying to sell this to artists. The money is in those who aspire to be artists, have no clue how to use the tools that artists use to make art, and will totally buy the idea that they don't need to if they have this gizmo. If they were talking to us, this ad would look very different.

My dad is a civil engineer so he was our first call this morning! He is on top of this bridge collapse and wants pundits to know nothing can withstand a huge cargo ship hitting it. Pylons etc would not have stopped this tragedy.

Please don't buy paperbacks (or any books) from Amazon. For many many reasons, including that the company will ship crummy print-on-demand copies of books when their stock runs out. For the same price and with no indication that the book is facsimile.
