For a while after Mom took Lucky from Grandmother for health & safety reasons, Lucky's name was "Useless" bc Mom was genuinely pissed off about Lucky just ignoring the critters devouring the garden. This was years ago, Mom & Lucky have reconciled, but it's still v funny to think of "Useless the Cat"

The funniest thing about Lucky (full name Lucky Lu) is that Mom is officially a Buncombe County Extension Master Gardener but her beautiful back garden of veggies & herbs constantly gets wrecked by groundhogs & other varmints but Lucky seems to have zero interest in pursuing her traditional prey
