We had a 5 year-old in the front row of our matinée today. Hoo boy I wish I could watch the mayhem on Monday at day care when that little girl tells her pals about the Kit Kat Club.
If she’s anything like was when I was a kid she’ll be singing “Money Makes the World Go ‘Rpund” over and over again (me from seeing the movie😂). It’s a catchy tune and she won’t understand any of the other stuff.
Teacher: Good morning, everyone!
Five year old, with a gleam in her eye and a comic German accent: Leave your troubles outside! So, life is disappointing?Forget it! We have no troubles here!
Here life is beautiful. The girls are beautiful. Even the orchestra is beautiful!
Teacher: Um, what now?
I was suspended from preschool at 3 for singing an Elsa Lanchester song. It was apparently unacceptably bawdy, although given the vocabulary (I may not be/particular/to keep the perpendicular) I think they may have overreacted.
And now it's little Sally's turn for Show and Tell. Sally, what would you like share with the class today?
"Money-money-money-money-money-money..."
I'm so jealous of little Sally, btw
I just burst out laughing so hard! (And after feeling under the weather for a couple days, that felt so good.) Oh to be a fly on that wall!
But was she a good audience member?
When my spouse was around the age of 10, his grandparents took him to NYC with a tour group. The tour included tickets to a Broadway show & they were given a choice between 2 or 3 titles. Not knowing anything about them they chose one at random. A Chorus Line. Dance 10 Looks 3 was uncomfortable.
