How accurate is the weather forecast in your city?

Niko Kommenda and I learned that NWS just began doing gridded assessments of forecast accuracy. We got the data and mapped of how many days into the future they get within 3°F of the observed high temp.

Thank you to those of you helping purchase masks for a local shelter! Unhoused people don't need more to worry about as COVID starts to surge again. (I had to reschedule a meeting with a university I work with because a bunch of people were out with COVID 🫠) Let's help protect people in need!

me and my collaborators did the most extensive research (to the best of my knowledge) on the LAION datasets, producing 3 academic papers & we were the first the demonstrate LAION400M contained misogyny, pornography, & malignant stereotypes back in 2021 ->
