Also, last I checked AI wasn’t capable of drawing blood or anything that might actually make a difference.
for some reason the thing I find most offensive is that the AI "nurses" are represented by cartoonish avatars of real nurses.

This infuriates me. Years ago, the VA introduced a streamlined system for triage where a person with basic medical vocabulary could ask patients questions that would guide the interviewer to possible diagnosis *so they could expedite care* by referring them to the correct person.
Anytime I see something like Amazon Health or Walmart Doc I cringe at the dystopian landscape coming into focus before me. The intersection of health and for-profit business is never a good match. However there's a shortage of nurses and doctors. If AI can help take the easy cases it could be a win.
