Poor MA person should try living in IL. Southerners = loud but it's easy to tell they're being friendly. Illinoisans are loud and rude. Will shout over you in normal conversations. Will shout and shove you in line at the store. Will shout b/c they think everyone should hear their opinion.

it is very normal for ppl in big cities to hate interacting with strangers in public, ppl from toronto are allergic to it. seems strange that this guy thinks it’s about an inherent lack of friendliness and not that high population density and reliance on public transit makes ppl feel rushed.
