Being in the ‘20s sounds so weird. It's so synonymous with the 1920s.
Sounds like a long time ago when women were fighting for their rights, the upper classes were living a life of hedonism and hoarding wealth, while people starved & the world was on the verge of economic collapse and war.

People think that that history was a long ago without realizing that it's not even history

I’m not saying this maps 1:1, but for something written in 160 BCE it’s pretty damn close

This band, Westing, (formerly Slow Season) also spotted a few similarities: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMNd... (Should you happen to like Led Zep, you may notice an air of familiarity with this.)

Not to mention the global flu pandemic in 1919! Hmmm! It is weirdly familiar!

That would imply we barely just stopped a guy from forcefully taking over a country and did next to nothing to prevent him from trying again years later.
Hell, he doesn't need to, because people are stupid enough to hand him the keys regardless.

Since the pandemic began, I felt like we were speed running 1918-38. Pandemic, mass disability popularizing eugenics, increasing income inequality, rise of fascism
But then we also got new infrastructure, social programs, rights for labor, which is also happening, even though people are ignoring it
