A lot of people get very excited about fighting fire with fire even when the task at hand is to stop the arsonists from burning down the house we’re all inside. No one said that’s an easy task with an obvious solution, but whatever the solution is, it ain’t that.

I *love* the idea of watching a contested convention, quite apart from whether it's good from a democratic perspective or from a Democratic perspective. I don't think that this is particularly difficult to understand.

I think the reason that pundits like the idea of a contested convention is that it hasn't happened in a lifetime and the idea is incredibly exciting. Modern conventions are incredibly dull from both a reporting and a viewing perspective; a contested convention would draw eyeballs.

Shitty drivers think speed and red light cameras are revenue generation schemes because they think all other drivers are as shitty as they are. Most drivers do not speed down 10+ over the limit on residential streets or run red lights. It's very easy to just not do that, in fact.

I think it legitimately drives people insane that their neighbor who is cringe, actually votes, and donates $20 a month to a cause they like is actually doing more to make society better than someone typing in all caps how they will lead the revolution
