if i could go back in time to like 2004 i would make several million dollars writing a libertarian picture book about a kid who realizes that coal is more valuable than toys and orchestrates a mass campaign on the part of children to exploit a christmas arbitrage opportunity

i just realized i got the lore for this from a 40k novel i read 20 years ago that's long since gone out of print. but the whole thing about the golden throne actually preventing the emperor from ascending and fighting the chaos gods was in warhammer at one point

like i KNOW i like the casper one i inherited from my roommate back in NY but it's $1200 new and idk how long i'm going to be in this place. do i try to find something for like $500 and know it's going to collapse? or become a japanese futon guy again?

buying a mattress has got to be one of the worst purchases possible. like which of these hundreds of nearly identical products do i want to spend roughly a thousand dollars on knowing that whatever i choose will probably give me cancer
