I think what upsets me the most is that the execs who made the decision came into the business at Paramount from the content side. When one of your three co-CEOs created “All That,” one of your most iconic television franchises, they should absolutely give a shit about legacy.

I need to write the whole piece about this, but the thing to understand is that the NYT is now just Facebook. The platform dictates narrative to normies, is totally gamed by the right, and is still so ubiquitous as to be unavoidable even by those who see how broken it is. It's just Facebook.

Illustrator had a NeXTSTEP version, nothing for Amiga though. Adobe Animate (previously Flash) technically started on PenPoint OS, which is pretty esoteric!

I spent a summer in Beijing a couple of years after Tiananmen. Most of the people I interacted with seemed fairly happy. Also, they held a mass execution in a soccer stadium and who the hell knows if they were guilty or just pissed off the wrong people.
