I mean, I have plenty of issues with her and her history as a prosecutor in CA. I also am not a fan of the current admin’s way of handling trans issues (esp that recent messaging) BUT she’s leagues better than the alternative from team fasc.

Harris could be the key. If Biden will drop out then Harris would become President. As such she would have a somewhat better chance as an incumbent. The party would not have the vicious infighting and only her VP pick to argue over. Most of Bidens financial supporters would stay on.

(Very big) If Biden were to choose not to run, he would have to pull the party together behind her the way he pulled the party behind him in the 2020 primaries. It's something you touched on, but if he can't get the party in lockstep like he did then, it's gonna fail.

Rep. Clyburn stating today that if Joe steps down it must be Kamala Harris is huge news. He righted the 2020 Biden campaign and seems to be setting the groundwork for her. To me, it is the first evidence that Biden is considering stepping down.
