Trump’s re-election will mean four hideous years of the GOP playing constant Civil War Chicken at best - as this Heritage Foundation ghoul made clear - and actual civil war at worst.
Avoiding that bloody nightmare is a pretty damn good reason to suck it up and vote for Biden.
We need to remember the project2025 plan is a plan for the first 180 days of any Republican administration! It's not going to be a 4yr project. They started collecting names in 2022. It's going to happen fast, if they ever take the WH. 34-felon won't be their last attempt if he doesn't win in 2024.
I have doubts that it’d just be four years, unfortunately. What are the odds that one of his first “official acts” will be to abolish elections or just declare himself president for life.
1. It won't be just 4
2. Whoever the Dem candidate is, Biden or not
3. They absolutely will not accept a loss in November
4. If they win (and they could) do not rely on the Dems to stop them
5. Civil war would be a total nightmare
6. But you should still plan for it
7. At a minimum, be armed somehow
What I worry about after that SCOTUS decision is Trump giving a series of escalating commands until someone in the chain decides to grab the wheel. There was a few hours on 1/6 where the brass decided the best course of action was to treat Pence as POTUS.
Somebody else pointed earlier that the "bloodless if the leftists allow" (paraphrasing) bullshit sentence, is a clear terrorist threat and should probably be called like this.
honestly I'm just surprised the Heritage Foundation guy would make such a gaffe - all the real militants refer to the confederacy as the 2nd revolution, so they think of this as 3rd one now. Wannabe fascists, truly.
I *was* going to suck it up and vote for for Biden, even though I despise the man. But it's increasingly looking like I'm going to be deprived of that option.
Beginning to think that the complete lack of personal information (age, family, former residences) on Wiki for this complete piece of garbage isn’t a coincidence.
Ok I went and read Federalist 70 and it’s about how the executive should be one person and not a committee. Hamilton argues that one of the advantages of a sole president is that it’s easier to hold them accountable. Also, poor decisions punished by removal from office are different than crimes!
