We stayed at an Airbnb with a massive gas leak and the owner kept blaming the previous occupants for making "ethnic food". We ended up calling the gas company, which found 3 major leaks while we were packing up to escape. The way Airbnb handled it we couldn't leave an honest review

Good reporting on an entirely predictable problem. Fun fact: Airbnb also covers up thousands of sexual assaults every year! Its internal safety team has "cool-down rooms" to take a break from the trauma of what they hear. It's a bad company, a bad industry, and people should just stay in hotels.

A story I LOVE behind Sledge Hammer. Scuttlebutt was that ABC wanted to cancel it after one season, so the team thought, "That so? FINE." And they had Season 1 end with Hammer accidentally setting a nuke off. But ABC decided they wanted Season 2. OOPS. They had to write themselves out of a corner!

my dad set up parental controls on the family computer that made it harder for me to play play-by-post dnd games on forums, so an older kid in the dnd group walked me through making and using an ubuntu live CD to get around them. today I work in IT. thanks Justin, whenever you are
