Genuinely, unironically love when blind audience members or those with intellectual disabilities ask nitpicky pain-in-the-ass questions about my team's data, because it means we presented it accessibly enough that they got to ask something other than "what were the numbers on that slide??"

The military was still by far the biggest employer of the ~60% of my classmates who made it to graduation, but the JROTC kids at least had a fighting shot at making an informed decision.

Hilariously, I was in JROTC in high school (long story) and the instructors (all retired recruiters) were the ones who explained and deconstructed all the specific tricks and bullshit the current recruiters would be targeting us with.

Yep, I use she/they, and since pretty much no one bothers with "they" in conversation, I use it exclusively when I'm writing bios so I can at least hear it sometimes. But it's not uncommon to be introduced with my bio verbatim except with all the pronouns changed to "[pause] she." 🫠

God, if this were *real,* it would be an amazing resource for people writing vital documents - existing readability checkers only really look at sentence length and not vocabulary complexity. But yeah, the marketing sucks and I have zero faith in either the process or the output. 😕
