“The Project 2025 playbook was written by more than 20 officials who Trump himself appointed during his first term. If he has ‘no idea’ who they are, he’s showing an alarming cognitive decline.”

A government monopoly would be stupid if you suggested it as a new thing.
But what we have now generates revenue, operates responsibly, keeps prices down (and uniform!), offers great selection and okay jobs.
All these benefits are lost by going to privatized alcohol sales.

So hey, here's a thing I don't think a lot of folks know: That whole "Patient Zero" thing? The French-Canadian airhost who supposedly spread HIV all over America?
That's not real. That's not what happened or how it happened.

Cognitive impairment and delusions of grandeur. 171 years old is too old. Time to drop out of the journalism game. The Gray Lady needs a graceful withdrawal from the spotlight. #journalism #media

Mark Twain hated the Fourth of July.
He was often invited to speak at Independence Day festivities. His audiences assumed that his reliably unpatriotic remarks were tongue-in-cheek jests.
But he meant that shit.

In eight years of heavy volunteering, I never saw one of them do anything like crowd control or conflict resolution or intervention.
I did have to bring them lunches and refreshments.

It's been a long time since I had any involvement, but in the past TPS decided how many cops they wanted and where/when they'd be posted, and Pride or the City would just have to pay whatever they asked.
I doubt that's changed.

It's Canada Day but all bluesky is talking about is how bad things are in America because their justice wizards had a stroke.
we should be talking about how bad things are in *Canada* and what will happen when *our* justice wizards have a stroke.

This guy doesn't understand the difference between liberal and left-wing.
Shouting at the left for not abandoning their values, goals, and priorities is a bold move, let's see how it works out for them.

yes the Dewey decimal system is racist and colonial but it has the advantage of being well nigh universal, so post this and save the life of a kid who can't google it because evil people monitor every keystroke.
