Yes, maybe there's some clever version of hardball Biden's team can come up with, something that doesn't involve ordering assassinations. But one thing he *should* be able to say is "I reject the idea that the president is above the law, and I vow never to use this illegitimate 'immunity' defense."

There’s nothing in the constitution that expressly gives Congress power to limit the size of the Supreme Court. Biden should send a dozen nominations to the Senate tonight and Durbin should confirm them tomorrow. Then let them cry about it.

My best idea so far: 1) Have Willie Nelson get himself photographed smoking a joint in a scenic spot on federal park land in a blue, pot-friendly state: still a federal crime. 2) Order executive branch to arrest, prosecute. 3) Sell him a pardon. Charge him one signed guitar. 4) Donate it to charity.

Order Merrick Garland to prosecute Thomas, Alito and Kavanaugh for taking bribes which resulted in two corrupt and unlawful decisions, presidential immunity and regulatory authority.

Does the immunity make the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 moot? Can Biden defund the Supreme Court and use the money for anything he pleases. Serious question. Does the President now control the power of the purse? Because I’m pretty sure that’s how Trump would see it.

He can make everyone happy by ordering assassinations and then resigning to face trial before a new Supreme Court that will overturn this decision and convict him. Everybody gets something they want, even Republicans!

Place the conservative justices under home detention/protection in order to assure their safety in light of their lawless actions. Ensuring the safety of officials is squarely within the powers of the office

"I vow never to use this illegitimate 'immunity' defense." The guy's a President. This country was built on elite immunity, to the point where we passed a Hague Invasion Act threatening the full force of our military if our leaders aren't immune

Better statement would be: “If SCOTUS insists I have immunity, I’m going to use it on ways that will shock you! Last chance to change your mind”!

That’s exactly what the right are counting on. It’s why they’re celebrating this SCOTUS decision even though there’s a Democrat president for several more months who could use their ruling against them and their causes. They know he won’t. Their guy will.

This is silly "when they go high, we go low" thinking. Biden should in no way commit to this line of action, even if he condemns the ruling.

That "immunity" is bullshit anyway — the current SCOTUS will only support and enforce it in service of Trump and nobody else, if Biden tries to take advantage of it they will promptly end up issuing a decision that somehow flips it over

What happens when Congress, with the aid of SCOTUS, refuses to ratify a Biden victory and we hit Jan 20th with both demanding to take the oath and states lining up on either side refusing to recognize the other claimant? Because I think that's where we are headed.

I doubt that's a good enough pitch to ensure Democrats will never lose another election until the supreme court gets replaced by supermajority packing or old age. Who would even care who is not already against Trump?

Simply cancel the election. Too perilous, country at war with itself. A house divided, etc. Let the Rs rise up in arms and be squashed like their forefathers in turpitude. A country can have more than one Lost Cause, as a treat.
