Back in the early 2000s I impulsively bought a copy of Wendy McElroy's XXX: A Woman's Right to Pornography in a second-hand bookshop. This book taught me how things like the Comstock Act and anti-obscenity laws have ALWAYS been used to target women, sex ed, and queer folks. It's a good primer.
