There’s no curated feed here. If you follow a feed you get the same as everyone else (except the ones that are determined by those you follow). It’s not like Twitter in that respect, although I’m not entirely certain how the Discovery feed works, so that might depend on feeds & ppl you follow.

In edit, You have your pinned feeds up top, but if you scroll down to saved feeds there’s a trash can next them. You might have to unpin a feed first, but I’m happy with what I’ve currently got & don’t want to mess with it.

let me make this clear: not voting is a vote for trump. voting for a third party is also a vote for trump. you might think voting for biden is safe but no sorry those votes go to trump too. votes for trump himself however get stored in an unused walk in freezer at mar a lago and count toward 2028.

Part of it is in the indoctrination in our media. Media tends to depict blacks disproportionately in criminal behavior. Additionally, it trends towards making Cops, and others in authority to generally be idealized paragons. Or at least mavericks.

Books, movies & television all present this narrative. I don’t think it’s so much popular, as you can’t get away from it. Doctors get something of the same treatment, but have the anti-science crowd. Still, I very much believe in the science, but the Doctors aren’t all perfect. They can misdiagnose.

The precise difference, I think, is this: If Trump calls Ted Cruz a pussy, it makes the headline. But if Kamala Harris tells minority kids to kick the fucking door down in response to bigotry, the headline is “a PROFANE OATH has escaped our Vice President” and you don’t see her message til graf 4.

Democrats have had a hard time adjusting to the the new right over many years now. And I think an unappreciated reason is that their impulse to chase the median vote typically wins out, even when doing so runs them into the pitfall of right-wing sabotage.
