Lots of good advice in here, actually! As a guest you need to bring something for the host and something for the party. Be fun and have fun! Nobody wants to hear you complain or talk about things that have frustrated you. Be a credit to the party, then show gratitude for having been included!

A new friend of mine said when she was a kid the boys called her Plain Jane and Jane-the-brain (not in a complimentary way). I told her if someone tomorrow said I wasn’t smart I wouldn’t care but if they said I wasn’t pretty I would cry. She didn’t know what to make of that. 🤓

Aunt Mildred told this story into her late 90s. She asked her mother if she was pretty and her mother said, “No, Dear, but you’re very obedient.” It gutted her! Just say yes! Or if you can’t do that say that *when they smile* they’re absolutely stunning. Or that they have character and sparkle!
