Corbyn was catapulted into it somewhat. I don’t think he ever expected to be more than a backbencher. And he didn't get suitable support or coaching for the role. He had his particular set of values that others clearly didn't want to progress.

Why do I keep finding it's Starmer fanboys who barge into conversations to act like dicks. If you can't get along with people who are supposed to be in a similar spectrum of opinion to you, you're not going to do well in any context. I've never been so gaslit by anyone as by those types on here.

The problem with what Labour are doing, is they're shifting the idea of what is the default and acceptable further to the right. They embraced anti-migrant, anti-trans, anti-Muslim rhetoric in a bid to gain power.

There are several things Labour could do now to mend the broken system. Cap donations. Regulate anonymous think tanks masquerading as charities. Stop opaque ‘unincorporated associations’ funnelling dark money into politics. Make parties check where the money actually comes from. Are they willing to?

This is marvelous. Class action alleges Walmart systematically puts one price on the shelf, and charges a little more at the cash register. Walmart claims consumers can see the prices actually charged, so no harm. CA7 rejects.
