Piracy has done more for art preservation than the corpos that own them. It’s ridiculous. We also learned that people who SHOULD be paid (artists, writers, actors, etc.) aren’t even seeing the cash themselves most of the time if at all, so any argument about “being paid” goes out the window.

It's the same scam. Find new tech with very limited applications -> insist it's the future of everything and shoehorn it wherever possible -> shoehorning gets more desperate as costs skyrocket FAR beyond income -> bubble go bang.

Put them on an island, give them some buttons that make a line on a screen go up at random rates. Tell them that's their wealth, and give them a scoreboard to compete with each other. That should keep them busy.

Things to do before we even *talk* about AC:
Ban private jets
Invest in public transit everywhere & reduce reliance on cars & therefore on gas
Improve recycling infrastructure & force companies to use glass bottles for soft drinks
Mind your own fucking business when folks are trying to survive

It really demonstrates how soulless these techbros are, and how thoroughly they've isolated themselves from normal people.

He's definitely not going to feel bad about it. That would require acknowledging that he was in the wrong and I doubt he has the capability. At worst, he'll just blame all of the consequences on trans people and their woke cancel culture or some other mishmash of right wing buzzwords.

My guess? Most of it is people who don't actually watch the show (MAYBE they watched some clips), and are rage-baiting for engagement, or people that exclusively watch said bait. Because this same "realization" has happened several times before among the "fandom".

All they care about is their personal wealth. To them, everything from art to people exists solely to be exploited for profit.

No, they just never directly refer to the cause, instead preferring to refer to the crisis like it was some natural disaster.

It's like if Google just up and changed the name of its search engine to something stupid for no reason. (I honestly can't think of an idea *as* dumb as X for this comparison.)

Of course Loving vs. Virginia is subject to the same reasoning. If one of these cases is not in fact constitutionally protected, then none of them are.
And Justice Thomas is an unapologetic hypocrite, but we already knew that.

They've decided that "go woke, go broke" is a fundamental law of the universe or some shit, and thus a high profile flop must have been "woke". Fuckin' crazy

and the thing is, this is false! when faced with consequences trump wilts away! when his opponents relentlessly hit him on scandal he declines with the broader public! it as if everyone treats the fact that he is the first incumbent in 30 years to lose reelection as a tidbit and not a critical fact!
