It makes me wonder where he got that little tip. Another of his fave moves is to roll his chair as far away as he can get from me to say “what is it you want to get out of our appointment today?” to initiate a wrap-up. Not inherently a bad question to ask, but it’s often asked in lieu of 1/

Oh yeah, 100% feels like a tool he’s been coached into using for patients (women) who talk/know too much. Tbh I’m afraid to bruise his ego bc he’s neuro & they’re nearly impossible to get in with in my area. So if he feels I’m combative and disengages or fires me, my health could pay the price.

One of my drs interrupts me when I’m talking about medical stuff with small talk questions to derail me so that after I answer, he can then reply & take back control of the conversation.
