English gets a bad rap for irregular pronunciation but it doesnβt get enough credit for having:
-no gendered nouns
-pretty simple verb conjugation
-no noun declension
-no adjective-noun agreement
-no formal βyouβ
-a good basis for wordplay

There are two nearly self-evident urbanism laws:
-"homes cannot be affordable and a good investment"
-"an area cannot both be walkable and have abundant surface parking"

Yep, route 17 Waterloo/Guelph/Hamilton is pretty new and weirdly doesnβt run on weekdays yet. In not-Mississauga destinations, thereβs also the super busy buses to Brampton

The scenes from the Russian strikes on hospitals in Kyiv today only reinforce how the morally correct position to have is to support both the peoples of Ukraine and Palestine as they both suffer brutal and vicious fascist aggression launched with the intent of wiping them out as peoples.

In Russia's massive missile attack on Ukraine today, they hit Ohmatdyt, Ukraine's largest children's hospital. This is the hospital's fund if you can help: www.ohmatdytfund.org/en/donate

Targeting a childrenβs hospital is just about as evil as you can get.
Ukraine needs all the air defense and everything else it asks for not just to keep fighting but to _defeat_ Russia. And if you can personally, donate to support Ukraineβs military and humanitarian efforts.

Itβs amazing the extent to which our billionaire tech bro overlords are just telling us out loud that they are rooting for fascism. Makes me slightly nostalgic for the days when American plutocrats plotted against democracy in secret.

Iβm disappointed at how little of the urbanism conversation has moved away from Twitter, but realistically the politicians that are the intended audience need to move away too. Not sure how to solve thatβ¦

The far right cope machine is already trying to manufacture a narrative about the massive loss the French fascists faced today. They are scared they can sense whatβs coming to America and itβs not fascism. Popular fronts win and scare fascists. Keep them on the back foot they are weak and scared.

A new βcontinuous sidewalkβ in Kitchener. The design differs from regular sidewalks in that it doesnβt dip down to road level at intersections. It continues at an uninterrupted height. This slows cars turning onto the street, and it also reinforces pedestrian priority through the intersections.
