ON research. MDs w/"largest proportion of unvaccinated patients were more likely to be male (64.6% vs 48.1%), to have trained outside of Canada (46.9% vs 29.3%), & to be older (mean age, 56 vs 49" More unvaccinated patients: -recent immigrants -higher rates of material deprivation -lower incomes

Is anyone else struck by the fact that Curb Your Enthusiasm is now doing clearer public messaging on the epidemiology (airborne, asymptomatic spread), prevention (tell your contacts, stay home until you test negative) and consequences (long covid) of covid than the CDC, PHAC or WHO?

Fresh results from another basic income pilot. This one took place in San Antonio, Texas where 1,000 people got a $1,908 payment in Dec 2020, followed by 8 quarterly $400 payments between Apr 2021 and Jan 2023. What happened? Incomes from work went up. That's a commonly observed impact BTW.

We can't keep pretending that the oil majors have any intention of transitioning away from fossil fuels. I once called them our common enemy during a talk and people literally gasped and said it was an overstatement. But, the #1 reason we don't have ambitious climate policy is fossil fuel interests
