It's still a bizarre way to answer the question, though. He's obviously neither thinking straight nor listening properly.

*Calling* the election was arguably just making the best of a bad job, however just about everything subsequently has been done badly, including the way he called it (i.e. not telling cabinet colleagues, but apparently telling people who put on dodgy bets).

Because, to be fair, the situation when he called the election was likely as good as things were going to get for him. Of course, he then made a number of unforced stupid decisions, but that's a separate issue.

They're really aggressive with each other and other birds, though. They're nice to humans because we sometimes dig up worms or otherwise feed them, and they're not scared of us because they know we think they're cute.

It wasn't "what's your favourite food?," though. He didn't even answer the question he was asked. "Well, it's going to be a long night so we're just having something simple and quick. Might have to be sandwiches, ha, ha." Or something.

“Do nothing, twiddle your fingers while drawing increasingly farcical and cynical dividing lines, overseeing fiscal events you know to be harmful, seeing everything you do as an outgrowth of the polls” needs to get a worse result than “govern to the last hour, don’t lay traps for your successor”.

The spaniel, on the other hand, is happy, because it would do anything if it thought there was even the faintest chance it could con anyone into giving it an extra meal.

That kitten is plotting murder, although it’s possible that it just doesn’t want to be dragged into this, and frankly who could blame it.

I have written
a dissent
that clearly says
when a president
is immune
forgive me
if it sounds too much
like a list of instructions
I was afraid for democracy
and when a president does it, it’s not illegal

You can tell Tesla is close to "solving self-driving" because they are down to the tough edge cases like *checks notes* trains

Not that anyone particularly cares about original meaning, but think folks should still say it out loud: For all of the things that are unclear in the founding documents and unknowabilities of what the Founders intended, "the President can kill anyone or commit a coup" was *never* legally arguable

What would you nominate for songs of summer? I think my top three would probably be "Baker St" (Gerry Rafferty), "Racing in the Street" (Springsteen) and "La Mer" (Charles Trenet). And of course "Soul Limbo" (Booker T and the MGs)
