The majority of my ancestors were Scots, so I understand the Irish. If I lived in Scotland, I would be doing everything possible to get out of the UK, even at a significant financial cost. I can only imagine how the Irish feel, having much worse treatment over the last couple of hundred years.

will never fail to boost this quote cause I've had my fair share of experiences, coming from a country that was founded on rebelling against a monarchy, where people will in no uncertain terms defend against me "rule by murder-clowns". They'll even call monarchies democratic -it's the insane asylum.
