I'm on medication that can cause a sore throat (and joint pain. and bone pain. and ligament pain. and carpal tunnel. etc etc etc it's fine, I'm used to it) and anyway we're in a covid surge and I don't have covid but BOY would I love to not have an eternal sore throat for my own peace of mind!

there is a little tropical market (I don't know what better encapsulates its combination of asian, african, jamaican and puerto rican foods) near me and they have amazing frozen patties and I have discovered that the air fryer is the correct cooking apparatus for these. game changer.

An important thing to realize, that you should not be to white to know, is interacting with Palestinians online helps them. It provides them social support they need. Interacting with them as online buddies does. Donating to their fundraisers does that regardless of its meeting its monetary goal.

it's very hot out so I got a little cooler from a thrift store (the kind where the proceeds go toward something good, like the DAV), put it on the porch for delivery folks. there's water and Gatorade and snacks in it and I swap out bottles of ice and ice packs every morning so it stays cool.

people using AI to get to an answer faster but it's frequently wrong reminds me of a guy who said he could type super fast but when he showed us he made an enormous number of typos, because if getting it wrong counts I can do that even faster

there was a benefit for Gaza in my town yesterday, just a lot of smaller local organizations and individual artists collectively going "we don't know what to do, so we're going to do this." it's ok to not know what to do. it's ok to find it all overwhelming. even in this, you can do something.
