Taking PhDing to new levels of avoidance, procrastination and delay, but, maybe this time, there is an end in sight. BlueSkying history, Musical Goddess Kate Ceberano and clouds. I do love clouds. Even though they are in The Outside. Which I don't like.

I believe he still owns close to 50% of the media over there doesn’t he? Fox News, plus a share of CNN? The New York Times. The Washington Post too? It is 2 am though and I’m in a flat that’s cold and damp so it could be affecting my memory.

Thank goodness this was rejected because it would not look right on the site it was proposed for here in #Canberra. It would be so wrong for this site. Gives me hope that the NCA will choose something a little more fitting with the style of Civic. Altho, there are some utter monstrosities now, alas.

Don’t be silly. #EvilMurdoch hasn’t decided whether he’ll allow this to be reported yet. He’s probably trying to work out a way to angle it against Biden or Biden’s troublesome son.

I started reading the health chapter of the #Project2025 dossier. It’s The Handmaid’s Tale on steroids. Goal #4 was particularly interesting given what’s just come out about #AliceMunro & vile 2nd husband. And I could refute the claims within 5 minutes with a simple Google search.

#AliceMunro “wrote: “The thing is to be happy… No matter what. Just try that. You can. It gets to be easier and easier. It’s nothing to do with circumstances.”

“The wilful determination of her words now echo at a very different pitch.”

Post something blue to brighten the skyline! Yes, I’m going to do this and then I’m not going to look at social media today as there is too much depressing stuff here. People are just so awful.

Experts said the policy constituted torture & enforced disappearance, “which occurs when state agents conceal the fate or whereabouts of a person who is deprived of liberty.” “Enforced disappearance” has usually been associated w/human rights abuses in dictatorial regimes in Chile & Argentina.

There was a lot to love with the Dr Jen Gunter interview on the Sunday Magazine, but I especially loved when she described anti-vaxxers as pro death. I'm definitely borrowing that term for future use. www.cbc.ca/radio/sunday...

What this article leaves out is that if you hand your unlocked phone to a police officer, they can legally search it. Unless companies develop a method that allows you to show officers insurance cards and driver license without unlocking the rest of your phone, don't.

That would explain how #ProfessorX is back for #Logan, although there was a little bit at the end of the third one to explain that, but… And also how some of the events and character connections don’t work in the first three films.

Yes, I’ve been thinking about this too much. #X-MenFilms

Having been obsessively watching the #X-MenFilms over the past two weeks, in terms of the storyline chronology, I argue that #X-MenDaysOfFuturePast should be placed after #X-MenTheLastStand. The events of 1973 have changed the timeline so that what happened in the “first” 3 films didn’t happen.

On our national broadcaster, the ABC, which I generally watch during the election counts, at the last election when our Labor Party won, it was the same thing. The journalist going on & on about the losing Liberal govt, silencing & ignoring ALP members on panel. That’s the #EvilMurdochInfluence.

Pretty much every move I’ve ever made in comics since age 25 has been inspired by the 70-year-olds I saw in comic con Artist Alleys, cranking out sketches of characters they created but don’t own, to pay their doctor bills and nursing home fees.

Bloody love pastilles. Every time I was scheduled for the Bath tour, I’d head to the Aussie shop in Covent Garden and get myself a packet because after I tasted the waters at the Roman baths, pastilles, 4 to be exact, were the only thing to get that bloody awful hot metallic taste out of my mouth!

I could never read the books again because the writing was so bad, but I did like the story and that’s what kept me going. And I never thought of her as a girl power feminist, but I’m lying here thinking about what you’ve just said. I may at least have to watch the films again.

It’s going through the city I live in, but of course hardly anybody’s wearing masks, I’m not sure about vaccinations, and they act all surprised when they come down with it. “But COVID is over!” Yeah, nah. Our govts have wished it was over & act like it‘s over. And everybody else followed suit.
