The biggest issue with Biden coverage is that he’s now The Story, which means that most of the press is focused on The Story and not any of the context or consequences. If we were having a serious discussion about qualifications for presidency, age, and the two main candidates, I’d be fine with it.

Yeah that's fair! I just don't think this is the same strategic disaster as Hillary ignoring the Midwest. I think the long term play seems to be abandoning Florida for Georgia with some long term roots being laid in Texas and also Kansas weirdly enough

It just feels like every right wing lunatic is moving to Florida. Much like Colorado is a lost cause for Republicans, Florida may be a lost cause for Dems. The map has fundamentally changed since 2000-2008. Texas and some of the south are more in play. Florida and Ohio are less in play

I love sitting on the dems but Florida is likely a lost cause at this point. Demographic and voter shifts are far more favorable in PA, AZ, NC, VA, and to a lesser extent GA and TX. If there's a finite amount of money to spend it should be spent in those states and the Midwest
