This isn't a tech revolution, it's just more Silicon Valley bros that go to bed crying every night because they missed the original tech gold rush trying to sell you magic beans.

I keep getting a prompt to turn this on, and it's so irritating. I got one of those surveys for feedback on Adobe, and my only response was to stop pushing AI on me. It's so irritating. I can't wait for this to go the way of NFTs and Blockchain.

This morning, I opened a PDF to find Adobe Acrobat giving me an AI-generated summary of it. That led to a rabbit hole of finding all the places Acrobat’s AI Assistant has to be turned off. Here they are: www.wordsbywes.ink/a...

Oh no! My condolences. I have not even considered what I will do when that happens to me.

My son went on a school trip to Rome in middle school. The only pictures he took were of the street cats. In college now, he remembers having a great time: the cats and the gelato.

That's where I had issues. I need a cozy game. Running away from zurks was where it lost me. I'm bad at games where I shoot stuff. I need something where I can't die. (I did like parts of it, shooting and all that needs to be optional)

I joke (?) that I married my husband because his last name had the same first letter but easier spelling and pronunciation than my maiden name.

If you owe (but not enough to trigger a penalty), you can also file early (to make sure that no one else can fraudulently file with your SSN) and then wait to pay until April 15.

I never want to interact with other humans online (or IRL, TBH), and I'm playing NMS as a single player cozy game and the customizable settings have me doing just that. I'm exploring and farming and crafting and having a great time. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Had someone (a middle aged man at the time) apply for an accounting job with the personal email "Conman69" His last name started with Con-, and he may have been born in 1969, but he failed the "good judgment" test and was not hired.

Excited for this. I don't listen to much new music, but this is absolutely the sort of stuff I like.

Every time we need a new appliance, my husband wants one that connects to the internet (just because that would be cool? He won't use that feature, and neither will I) and I have to veto that for one that just works and does what I need it to do.

Yeah, that's super gross. I bring my own stuff anyway because I'm picky, but I'm *absolutely* not using a communal pump at a hotel.

Sometimes it's the opposite. When my son was 8 I told him we were going home after a visit to San Diego to visit Grandpa and I took him on a surprise second trip to Legoland and Disney Land instead. He got mad that I lied to him. (We still went to the parks and he had fun.)

Not only should you NOT provide amazon with your palm print, you should be doing everything you can to keep your finger- and palmprints out of high resolution images, as a whole. (Also your keys, but please tell me you know that already.)

Our pet photos are the only thing about which we’re still allowed to express unalloyed delight online. For anything else, we have to be super ironic and cynical. So, please enjoy this big dork.

I hear you! I loved the i3, (I had a launch model 10 years ago) wish I could have that but with better range. Currently drive a Genesis GV60, it's super cute but it's still bigger than what I need.

White chocolate is chocolate in Europe. My favorite white chocolate comes from Switzerland. (They sell it in the US now, but I first got it in Bern on a business trip).

It's been a while, but when I was a retail analyst they made most of their margins from the stuff you buy in the store on the way to pick up your Rx. Personally, I'm not waiting for someone to unlock a box but I have the luxury to go elsewhere. Some folks don't.

Sometimes I skim, but only if a Point is being Hammered. I also go back to re-read (or slow down) if things are complex. I'm not going to blame an author for my lack of comprehension. I love a complex plot.

I use metro gel and stopped drinking because my migraines were getting more frequent. I never connected the two but now I wonder. I also take oracea, which I find to be really effective. I've been using both for years.

I always say win the lottery these days instead of being hit by a bus. Seems less grim. Takes effort though. Habits are hard to break.

Based on my feed this morning, it seems that the two most successful things ever discovered are UBI and gender-affirming care. Both shown to be nearly 100% reliable in test after test and survey after survey.
