Okay so to be clear we are destroying power grids, the livelihoods of actual humans beings, and communication/research infrastructure for the sake of an algorithm that converts stolen data into unreliable stolen data and consistently loses millions of dollars. Just to be clear

Every “person” you see in this is a job an actor didn’t get. Every “object” you see cost prop masters work. Every “set” you see is a place no crew was paid to work. The machine that made it was trained with stolen images. Fuck this video. Fuck the ghouls who made it. And fuck Toys-R-Us forever.

Affected talent should sue for the damage to their careers. People make a tv series & it vanishes completely afterwards, the perception could easily be that the project was a failure. No one goes into a project thinking it could be wildly successful & still vanish.

They didn't discuss the AIDS epidemic head on, but the Legacy Virus was a feature of numerous X-Men storylines for 8 years. Stop expecting entertainment properties to spoon feed you and go develop your own personal politics. It's very intellectually rewarding!

Think about all of the "immediate aftermath" media about 9/11 and the War on Terror we got in the mid-00s. Most of that shit was TERRIBLE from a narrative standpoint and reactionary from a political standpoint.

Entertainment (not news, not live media) should not be produced on an Amazon Prime schedule. Because ideation, creation, production and distribution TAKE TIME. If you expect media to be created as rapid response to the biggest political issues of the day what you're actually expecting is propaganda.

M*A*S*H* was about the Korean War, which ended in 1953. The movie was released in either 1969 or 1970 and the TV show started airing in 1972. We didn't get a critical mass of movies about the Vietnam War until the back half of the 70s.

We didn't start getting movies about the AIDS crisis until the tail end of the 80s and the early-90s. Even though the first HIV/AIDS cluster was discovered in 1981 and the first known case in the US was in 1969.

So many issues with that screenshotted post re: media literacy. I don't have the bandwidth to tackle them all, so instead I'll stick to the first one that comes to mind: Visual mass media production (TV and film and comics to a much smaller degree) in the US exists on a 7-10 year tape delay.
