I had moderate focus issues that are more properly classified as "Sarah didn't have a solar filter and was not aware that she could take photos during totality until right before totality so she was trying to figure out how to do it well as she went along".

I'm still astounded at how fundamentally different the experience vs a photo is. no one really captures the like dark blue purplish sky quite right in a photo, it's always jet black or out of focus

I drove a day and a half to see the total eclipse of 1999 (central Europe). Was a nice summer's day with a 85% chance of clear sky. I hit the remaining 15%, of course. But you know what? It was still awesome. I was on a campground / farm and all the animals were like "So. This is it. Armageddon."
