I think the innumerate nature of the BBC's coverage was a big problem. Its easy to dismiss as a restoration of the LibDems old position, but there's a world of difference between the libdems holding 40-odd tory leaning seats and 60-odd tory leaning seats in terms of impact on broader politics

A new “continuous sidewalk” in Kitchener. The design differs from regular sidewalks in that it doesn’t dip down to road level at intersections. It continues at an uninterrupted height. This slows cars turning onto the street, and it also reinforces pedestrian priority through the intersections.
