Can it turn a calculus text into a fourth-grade reading-level text? I see *some* uses, but not for *literature*.
Use this to =increase= human understanding? Sure.
Use it to gloss literature? My [best] educators specifically included test questions which showed who =only= read the Cliff Notes.

Giving someone a scaffold to understand a book isn’t destroying the book. It’s helping bring that book to more people. I will say as a teacher I would never only use the simplified text, and a human simplifying will do a better and more accurate job than ai always, but I understand the point of this
