I found out yesterday that my dog refuses to do anything without his collar. Also it has to be the nice new collar, not the grotty old one. If I take it off he just picks it up, looks at me accusingly, and wonβt budge. Now itβs all gross because he went swimming with it on.

A few days after moving to Aarhus, I saw one pedaling up Skovvejen. He had a broadsword and shield strapped to his back. Denmark is strict about regulating knives but it seems broadswords are fine. There was also a square-rigged knarr in the træskibshavn. Sometimes it would ominously sail East.

Copenhagen is the easiest city Iβve driven (and cycled, and walked) in. No traffic jams, very smooth going. Two-thirds of the people there commute by bike and many of the rest by public transport. Itβs great.
