“If you prosecute me for my crimes I’ll prosecute you for nothing” isn’t tit for tat. It’s just doubling down on lawless behavior.

It sounds like the NY Dems who have jobs just want to hand into theirs, and want to take no risks by using power to do anything different.

I know Boomers are the social media default bad guys, but I am astonished at my twenty and thirtysomething nieces and nephews who only get info from Joe Rogan and Tik Tok.

A big nugget of American ignorance is the belief that government programs and agencies that one likes are somehow not *really* the government (like Soc Security, libraries, etc and are therefore not bad.

Voting is not enough. Right wingers are evil and crazy, but they have disproportionate power because they had the discipline to do the grinding, boring, precinct level takeover of a major party. We need to do that.

Exactly. The pattern of conservatives creating unclear laws on issues like censorship and abortion is to misdirect blame, all the while using the threat of prosecution to make doctors afraid to do anything. All the power, no responsibility.

This is EXACTLY as clear as they want it to be.
The goal is to ban abortion, but this way they get to blame the doctors because the "law allows*" it.

Not surprised. There are people so dispirited and defeated that they could be held up through the U.S. mail.

If you told someone in the year 2010 that Donald Trump would become president, he'd be shocked. If you told him Trump would be the first president to be convicted of felonies, he'd say "yeah that sounds right."

Authoritarians cannot have anybody disagree. That’s why North Korea and the old Soviet Union seemed to have unanimous votes, even though that’s preposterous.
