What would Jesus say about this I wonder. Mark 12:17 King James Version (KJV) And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him.

They're still Christians, like it or not. I will not be entertaining arguments over this. This is not a new discussion and if you don't get it that's not my problem. They should rename the fallacy "No True Christian".

This is my pet peeve. There is a tendency to call Evangelicals and Charismatics "Christian" as though they represent the equally Christian Lutherans, Presbyterians, and Quakers. Likewise, saying Baptist erases the General Baptist Conference and other less hoary conferences than the SBA and BBA.

Especially because a robust argument can be made that “laws with a Christian worldview” could be based around things like “The first shall be last and the last shall be first” “Neither do I condemn you” “Heal the sick and cleanse the lepers”

I don't think it is baffling, unfortunately. Christian Nationalisim has the political initative and at least I have not seen all the rest being anywhere near loud enough or strong enough in fighting back. From the outside perspective the C.N. agenda is the the "christian" agenda.

Christian Nationalism is a political agenda that seeks to control the government. The only thing that is Christian about it is their voter base that supports their archaic rules of male supremacy and bigoted life style choices. It's extreme conservatism using religion for political power.
