Had the displeasure of spotting this sign in the anesthesiologists’ office. In a hospital where countless people are getting themselves into loads of debt by merely seeking medical care. It’s such a disgusting sentiment and also just a really really stupid joke.

Funny you say that because one thing I didn’t anticipate in the realm of anesthesia is the amount of time I spend walking around with syringes of Versed and fentanyl just hanging out in my pocket. I’m so terrified I’m going to forget it’s there and leave one day I tap the pocket like 100x per hour

When I was in college (right out of HS, years before returning for my BSN), I was failing classes & felt very indifferent about it. My parents wanted me to do a neuropsych eval for ADD. I was told, “you don’t have ADD, you just have a short attention span.” I still think about that. Like wat?
