This is a good comic, but there’s also the part that a new drug targeting a niche ailment is going to be costly and the US insurance company is almost definitely going to refuse to pay for it.

Speaking of Biden's health, I'm old enough to remember when Trump dictated a letter full of obvious lies about his health to his personal physician, then had the doctor's office raided and his medical records stolen by his private bodyguards once he was in office.

Do they realize they had the opportunity to challenge Biden in the primary and didn’t? Failure to do that followed by an attempt to seize the nomination through back room dealings at the convention just seems corrupt. Maybe if they hadn’t intentionally neutered the Super Delegate process?

Not surprising. I hope Georgia can resolve its political issues without violence.

Fix mass transit first, then do congestion pricing. Give people a viable option and then use taxation to nudge their decision otherwise it’s just going to piss off a lot of a lot of voters.

I think someone finally got everyone to understand how disastrous trying to switch out the primary winner of the nomination via convention delegates would actually be.
Just need WaPo and NYT to hear it through renewal cancellations explained through letters to the editor.

I think this has all been an effective demonstration of one of the tenets of @whstancil.bsky.social thought. Namely, that some journalists are addicted to Twitter, and that many stories arise because they are cooking their brains there.

Donald Trump is a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist. Do you think you could find some space to call on him to drop out of the race for the US President?

Donald Trump is a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and has been accused in court documents of raping children, but curiously the @nytimes.com and @washingtonpost.com don't call on him to drop out of the race for President of the US.

Perhaps to defeat fascism it requires conservative democrats and liberal democrats to realize their common interest in democracy and its continued existence.
(Please note the use of “small-d” democrats.)
