A reminder that 5 out of the 6 justices that voted for today’s horror show of a ruling were appointed by presidents that received fewer votes than their opponent. The Supreme Court does not reflect the will of the people. Our system is fundamentally broke.

Biden got free transgender surgery for army soldiers. As far as I can tell, this article is in response to him saying 8 year olds should not require gender affirming surgery. Most 8 year olds aren't certain of their orientation and don't need to be. Trump thinks trans folks are abominations. Nyet.

My friend Geoff’s comparing himself to Salieri is quite apt in one critical respect. Salieri was a brilliant teacher. Among his students? Liszt, Schubert, Beethoven. Between his time with Ludology, his books, and all his other work, Geoff has done more to teach good game design than anyone I know.

I mostly love how he is smart enough to cut his losses, and never fully invested in the villainy. Like, "Now Thor showed up? I'm out. Good luck with that; minions, remember your training..." He's so much more likeable than the zealots who just never. give. up.

That's actually becoming more and more common these days. I don't know of any traditional RPGs using scientific notation yet, but the roguelikes and casual RPGs have mostly converted. Every game needs progression, forever. (Here's hoping for a post-post-modern return to comprehendable numbers)
