Sometimes during these worse days I feel disconnected from time. The past is fragmented and incoherent, the future is an obscured forever echo of the present, and the present is too short-lived to do anything about it. Anyone get this, or something similar?

Living under authoritarian regimes is both relatively boring and normal AND incredibly corrosive to the human soul. These things can absolutely co-exist. This is why everyone needs to resist authoritarians, even people who privately assume they’ll be just fine.

The way to get rid of prison slavery once and for all is to simply mandate that prisoners be paid prevailing market rates for any task. And also, abolish prison, but the first idea is more immediately achievable.
