Full quote from ex-ICE director Tom Homan: "Trump comes back in January... I will run the biggest deportation force this country has ever seen. They ain’t seen shit yet. Wait until 2025.” Tonight in Florida Trump pledged to bring Homan back. Homan, BTW, is a listed Project 2025 contributor.

I don't care if Project 2025 ends up being fascist wishcasting and is going to be hell to implement; there's no benefit in minimizing the danger, and if we can leverage concerns about this to engage people and get out the vote, then that's good!

Project 2025 is terrifying. The people behind it are also weird. Meet John McEntee, who ran personnel for Trump's White House.

He also runs a shady "dating" app for lonely MAGA men.

The marketing for the app is more pathetic than you're imagining.

Christian extremist activists sometimes have giant signs listings all the sinners god will smite. You know, the weird ones that include gays, witches, sports fans, yoga practitioners, vegetarians, goths, etc? They aren't kidding. If they could, they'd eradicate or subjugate everyone on the list.

Seven times between 1801 and 1869 Congress changed the size of the court, going from a low of five justices in 1801 to a high of ten in 1863. In most of those cases, as in 1801 and 1863, the size went up and down in order to fix an imbalance or overreach by the Supreme Court. My latest

By which I mean, I'd love to see some students fight the university president, the board, the governor, and anyone else who disciplined them for engaging in protected speech. But that's a big ask for a student who just wants to graduate, and no easy task in hostile Texas & 5th Circuit courts.

You may have heard of the bad stuff in the right-wing Project 2025 plan such as banning abortion, ending LGBTQ rights, privatizing Medicare. There's also bad city planning in it, such as defunding mass transit, "oppose any efforts to weaken single-family zoning", and being against bike lanes.

I know this is true and it baffles me to no end. Agenda setting is taught at J-school - part of the education of journalists is that blanket coverage signals to the public there is a crisis and that it needs to be taken seriously. Why they reject this for electoral politics is… unflattering.
