Please do consider signing up to my Patreon - it's my only source of income these days, and you get access to everything for a quid/buck a month, or even less than that if you pay for a whole year in advance. It really is a lot of content for basically fuck all money!

Audio is tricky because I cannot listen and do much at all. I pretty much only get through podcasts and audiobooks while driving (which doesn't require huge quantities of active thought these days, except that I can't listen to stuff while parking 😅 )

I actually can watch television! I'm much more likely to stick with it if it's good, though. Subtitled foreign-language stuff also holds my attention fairly readily, perhaps because I'm then both reading and watching?

The learning to art continues. Treated myself to some little reeds in the river as a break from struggling with architecture.

Suddenly recalling the time a therapist asked me if I ever just sat and chilled out, and her very big frown when I half-jokingly replied, "Sometimes I like to gently disassociate on the train into work for 15 minutes, as a treat".

I will probably accidentally have a little sit down for 45+ minutes and consequently not end up doing the website, tbh. Does that count? I did spend 20 minutes on the train doing a little drawing also.

Low on energy and mood, and would quite like to go straight to bed when I get home. Instead I shall be doing my physiotherapy, cooking my dinner, sending out a playtest scenario version, and possibly making a website.

Looking for help finding sff book reviewers.
I've been putting together a list of places that might be open to reviewing a fantasy novel I coming from a small press later this year. Does anybody have recommendations for site, reviewers, or anywhere I might find useful lists?

I'd just assume you were talking about playing with food tbh. I've seen the Close Encounters scene but had kind of forgotten about it.

Do I know anyone who can do a cover design? I've got the ebook front cover and I need a wraparound for a KDP edition.
It shouldn't need saying, but obviously I will fairly pay for this work. The only catch is I'd need it before Worldcon, so ideally within 2-3 weeks, faster if at all possible?

Newsletter: Goldman Sachs has called BS on Generative AI, and I believe that it's time that everybody follows suit - generative AI is unreliable, unsustainable, requires an entire rebuild of America's power grid, and is most decidedly not the future.

We are looking for an illustrator for Ex Tenebris, a galaxy-spanning investigative game in a world of shadowy cults, demons, and sinister ancient technology.
Must be able to draw human scenes, monsters and technology (e.g. spaceships).
Is that someone you know? Get in touch!
