Steve Bannon is in prison for contempt and Rudy Giuliani just lost his N.Y. law license, but John Roberts insists that invisible ink in the Constitution prevents Donald Trump, the ringleader, from facing charges for virtually anything that Trump can claim was an official act.

Tom the Dancing Bug from 2019, when the notion of presidential immunity was a laughably ridiculous argument made up by Trump's lawyers.

Homeless people can be arrested for sleeping, Presidents cannot be arrested for rampant graft and corruption done while in office. There is no clearer a summary of "conservative 'law and order'" than this.

One of my favorite non sequiturs is that use of "but". Imagine: I'm not a racist BUT ... I'm not in favor of everything Trump does BUT ... Everyone likes your work at this firm BUT ... Everything before (and including) "BUT" is a lie. Always.

Very nice of them to provide clear instructions in how to bribe them. 1. Lunch at Chipotle, before judgement: BAD 2. Any explicit and documented quid-pro-quo: BAD 3. Wink-and-a-nod, unlimited YES YES YES! Send over the limos, the private flights, stays with oligarchs, motorhomes.

Not disagreeing. And then: there are +/- 38 Shakespeare plays. 13 are set in Italy at least in part. And R&J derives in part from Giulietta e Romeo by da Porto ... which was likely in Lanier's library.

In general the "who wrote Shakespeare" discussions are nuts BUT the one that catches me is that idea that a well-educated, ~Italian ~Jewish woman did so. In part because the women are often fully-drawn figures, in Lear, R&J, Macbeth and more.

I led a 20,000-respondent project and getting the last 1,000 was a trip ... had to get a few more of one segment or another. Robocalls demolished paid panels, and off we went to lowest-common denominator nonsense. There's no point comparing current polls with those from 10 years ago.

and the delta n (the alleged / imagined shifts) are, as you're pointing to: single digits. (old man voice): years ago, research firms maintained HUGE panels of known respondents, who were paid to fairly complete research questionnaires and could be balanced to get robust demographics. +1 more
