It was smokey when I visited, so couldn't see the vista over the Alvord Desert, but the glacial canyons blew me away!

I kinda feel like now that the Supreme Court has declared it legal for a president to straight-up murder people they don't like, it's probably even more important to not elect people who seem extremely inclined to murder people they don't like

Clear conditions allow #Portland ABC affiliate KATU to fly into the steaming crater. The lava dome, now some 220 ft. high and over 600 ft. across, looks like an English muffin.

It's a long story, but short version: my desktop refuses to connect to my landlord's router, and my laptop is too obsolete to connect to Twitter. It never could connect to bsky. This morning I remembered I had a hand-me-down Google Chrome laptop. *Really* dislike this OS, but happy to be back.

This what I'd always guessed, but never confirmed. I'd known of the bird since mid-60s, but the fruit didn't appear in US markets until mid-70s. It was slow to catch on, since initially it was quite expensive.
