I'm inclined to agree that the danger from televisions was overblown, though I'm not sure about people who had to work places where they were constantly very close to them - let's see if we get a rapid increase in brain cancers over the next couple of decades from the monitors, though

This one does find cellular damage from monitors, but I think the switch from CRT monitors to the kinds we use now was too recent for us to see health effects, given the typical latencies between exposure and effect in cancer

I'll rebut it here- the glass only blocked most x-rays (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathode...) and being in front of one at a close distance for extended periods of time was exposing yourself to a decent amount of accumulated cancerous radiation, which is kinda insane
